I really love the sound out of them but the thin wire that goes over the ear just will not stay in place. If it had the the loops or whatever they are called that bends and holds shape there, I would give them 10 stars.

I’m very happy with the performance of these ear buds. I’ve used several differnt brands in the past and find the Pro X50 to have the best overall sound quality. Being a drummer, the bottom end produced by the Pro X50 allows me to hear the bass line crystal clear and still allows the highs to come through. I like the thinner wire these buds offer. Less rubbing behind the ears when I’m rocking in my throne!!

Great sound, bad cable and support
These things sound great but the cable is super frustrating and no options to replace. I would use these quite often if the cable wasn’t so terrible to deal with. I find myself using my old IEMs more just because its easier to deal with the cable. Chatting with support was useless. I probably wouldn’t buy westone again, just simply because the company split and seems like support went down the drain and innovations like this smaller cable are ridiculous. Its also hard to take cable out to replace should you need/want… inputs are way too tiny for my drumming hands. This would have been a 2 star review but the sound quality is nice so…

Lighter, Smaller BUT Bigger & Better in Bass and Audio Definition
These Westone 3-Way, 5 Driver In-Ear Monitors are fantastic. I not only use them onstage, but also for listening to my audio play lists. The very thin, but durable Linum Bax T2 Detachable Cables are so lightweight that you don’t feel them. So all in all they’re so comfortable while providing better detailed sound than my first pair of Westone or Shure.

Good heavens! Mariah Carey comes alive right on front of me with this IEM. Lorin Maazel’s 1980 New Year Concert’s ‘Blue Danue’ is magnificent (including the sound of the coughing man). With a smooth outer shell, it is extremely comfortable as well. Noise isolation using the right tips is just good as the Etymotic ER series. And, it’s gorgeous; cable is substantial. I have both the MACH80 and now the PRO X 50 and I prefer the warm and low-end punch (quick transient response) sound of the PRO X 50. Extremely accurate mids and high with almost zero sibilance. And they look so cool inside my ears as I go about my daily routine. A true work of art!

Upgrade from UM Pro 30 to Pro X50
My UM Pro 30s have been awesome, but using these Pro X50s is a game changer. I am not exactly sure how it all works, but it sounds to me like having dual mid and high armatures adds an extensive amount of crisp and clarity, which allows the single low armature to provide more distinctive bass. Everything is much more expressive, which results in even less fatigue than I experienced with my already awesome UM Pro 30s. Highly recommend the upgrade to the Pro X50s.
