Incredible clarity
As a Pro20 user, I thought I had great in-ear monitors.
After purchasing the x30 set, I NOW have a great set of in-ear monitors!
They allow me to hear the vocal inflections better than with the 20’s.

My first time with triple drivers. I was surprised at great the sound was when i first put them on compared to dual drivers. The fit is great and the slider stays in place keeping the chords snug. I’m not used to not having “ear hooks”, and that contributes to my concern about the durability, which remains to be seen.

A slight step back
I replaced my UM Pro 30s with the X30s, which is the current model. The wire is much thinner which I am hoping doesn’t mean it is less sturdy. The sound overall is not as thick as the UM Pro 30s and the buds seem to let more ambient sound in when using the the same tips (triple flange) I had been with the UM Pro 30s.

Excellent update to my UMX-30
I have a pair of UMX-30 that I have used for over ten years. They have been sounding uneven, so I wanted to update to a newer set. The Pro X30 sounds great and the tips supplied are WAY better than the ones you used to get with a new pair. I have read about how thin the wire is around your ears, but it seems really strong and flexible, so I don’t see that being a problem.

Not working out of the box. Support hasn’t responded
I have used Westone earbuds in the past with mixed success. They sound great, but ultimately break over time, in spite of taking the utmost care. I decided to go for another pair to take advantage of their year end sale. Much to my disappointment, straight out of the box one of the cable connections is loose, resulting in intermittent audio with the slightest movement of my head. This is no good. A support ticket was immediately opened, but I have yet to hear back. This was a few days ago. Granted this is the holidays and I’m sure staff are away on vacation, but they are certainly aggressive enough to send me emails promoting their sale and asking for a review. So, here you go. I’d be happy to edit this review if we can get this sorted out (the ball is in your court, Westone). I look forward to your response.

Frustrated & disappointed
I bought these in December.
The first time I used them the right cable kept detaching.
I reached out to customer service and after a few weeks, I finally got a response. The response was to send them back. I responded saying that if I send them back, then I have absolutely nothing to use, and then I never got a response.
I would think the correct way to handle the situation is for them to send out a replacement pair and for me to send back the ones that don’t work properly so that they can work on the problem.
While the sound quality in general is good, the fact that the cable detaches constantly, which results in the earpiece either getting stuck in your ear, or it falls onto the floor (which is like trying to find a needle in a haystack), I would say they kind of suck and the customer service is about the same.
I see another review stating the same issue (the cable detaching and no response from “customer service”) so clearly it’s a defect in general and a lack of true service.

Loose connection
The right ear connection was loose right out of the box which cause audio to cut out frequently. When i reached out to ‘customer service’ i was told to essentially get bent. They wouldn’t send a replacement pair, and told me to attempt to re-secure the loose connection. $400 headphones, that don’t work, and westone doesn’t stand behind their product.
