Hearing Problem Solved
My hearing is not good. Needed a solution for live performances to hear my vocals clearly above other instruments. These IEM’s seem to do the job. Clear accurate and balanced tone. Plenty of foam/silicone tips to suit my needs. Only use the monitoring feature in a band environment. For solo work with tracks I put a piece of tape over the filter to isolate what I hear.

Site says 3 drivers, invoice states 1 driver.
Sent a message to customer service on the X30 IEM’s I bought. On site states 3 drivers in the units. But the shipping invoice states (“single driver unit). So what did I actually spend all that money for? I used/use Etymotic Ex4’s, and have for years. Love them, must be on my 6th set by now. This was to be stepping up to a higher grade monitor. Due to I mix for bands and want to be hearing what they do.
But if I’ve just bought a set of lateral IEM’s I’ve gained nothing. Also I was Leary because the triple flange plugs are the only type I’ve found that seat properly for sound clarity and outside noise blockage. Such as on the Etymotic brand. That to the good side on your product has not been the issue I thought it was going to be. I’ve yet to finish finding the best size fit from your supplied selection, but I’m getting better results that I expected there.
The fit being essential to carrying the bass line and overall midrange. Do you have or know a vender who has multi flange type “buds” that fit your monitors?
Thanks.

Am Pro X30
Really like these use them this weekend on multiple gigs and I am very impressed with the drivers, As a drummer sitting in the back its always a challenge to hear everyone else in the band. The low in response from my kick is excellent as well as the med and hi end from the vocals, well satisfied with these IEM

Amazing sound, super comfortable and durable
These IEMs are comfortable. With the ambience it produces it’s like they’re not even on. The ambience isn’t like AirPods or anything, it just gives you enough sense of what’s going on around you. The quality is amazing though and I do recommend for a flat accurate mix

Beautiful both aesthetically and from sonic perspective (ambience is pretty remarkable too!)
First off, these are gorgeous looking IEMs and extremely comfortable in my ears. It fits in my ears like a pair of soft and fluffy mittens; fits well and flush on the outside, and seals my ear canals extremely well without any discomfort like my previous Campfire Mammoth IEM’s with sharp edges. Also, I noticed the large stock foam tips with orange core is more comfortable than my previous Comply’s. It also seem to extend the highs further than Comply’s and sound much clearer while retaining most of the lows and mid flatness. Also, one thing that is pleasantly unique about these IEMs. Since it’s sort of like an open back headphones, sounds appear as it’s coming from the outside directly inward into your ear canals and not being originated from the earphones themselves. Also, if you close your eyes while playing live recordings, the stage starts to become visible. Lows (subs, bass) are, well, like the way they say it in British pop culture, “they are banging!” These are just magnificent!
Now one thing I did notice about the cable. It feels nice to the touch but also appears very fragile. I have since replaced them with the Linum UltraBax cable and now it’s almost perfect! I have to say though, the ambient sound feature that these IEMs boast is something to write home about. Which by the way was the reason I purchased these IEM’s. When you’re listening to say music which is my primary use case, it sounds just like other noise isolating IEMs Etymotic makes. Now here’s what’s amazing about these IEMs. When you need to interact with the world, it feels as if they weren’t even there. You can have normal conversation with the outside world when you need to without struggling or by removing one of the bud. Yet, you can zone out when you want to like when you need to concentrate. Now here’s another tip. If you want this “ambient monitoring” IEM to perform just like a normal noise isolating IEM, then you can just brush on a PlastiDip in a jcan using a brush over the opening. You can still hear some sound but it will be lot quieter.
With regards to the case and the ear tips; I am not a huge fan of silicon tips but these comes with various sizes of both silicon and soft memory foams tips of various sizes. They are seem to perform better for mids and treble. Also, I think the material is hypoallergenic because my ear canal don’t itch like some other ones that comes with Etymotic IEM’s. Stock foam tips, as long as you get a good fit, it’s almost as good as the silicon tips. As for the storage case, I do have to admit, it is very nice and of high quality. I believe it’s water proof as it has a gasket inside which will make it water tight.
Lastly, just be aware that these IEMs like all other IEMs from Etymotic/Westone an ample burn in time is needed before they really start to shine. When you first get them, they will sound bit stuffy, but after a while, as the BA drivers gradually loosen up, they will start to sparkle. Also, don’t be shy to add a slight touch of EQ to adjust the frequency response curve to your liking. This IEM adapts very well to most EQ curve except the lows and subs has a limit where no matter how far you extend it, it won’t do anything if you do.
I’m totally sold on these IEM’s. Well done Westone Audio!

Absolutely worthless
I’ve had 3 pairs of these. They last a few weeks and then they die. Every single pair. Save your money! Go elsewhere

Ambient in ears – sort of
These are quality in ears, I’ve had several. They stay in place quite a bit better than some I’ve used. An issue is that the ambient feature is quite subtle and isn’t providing as much of the guitar stage amp sound I’d like. So my solution is to not fully seat the ear pieces to get more of the ‘outside world’. This is working, but not sure if I’m losing low end – which these are designed to provide. More concerts coming up, so will continue to put them through the test.
