    Amazing Clarity, Separation and Texture
These are my favorite IEMs. They are so clear. Once you get a good seal, there is sufficient bass. If I’m looking to relax, I can focus on something else and nothing is too bright or dark to distract me. Then, when I want to focus on the music, all the details comes through with amazing clarity, separation, and texture. The neutrality may not be for everyone. But, I like that I can listen to any genre and it sounds wonderful without the harshness or muddiness that brighter or darker IEMs would generate from poorly matched genres. My primary source is a Fiio M17. The Quedelix 5K works fine, but the M17 certainly offers more separation, texture, and details.

My initial impression for the MACH80 was substantial until I got my hands on the W80
When I first got the MACH80, it literally blew me away. However as time went by, I had begun to use the W60 more as it had dual bass drivers. It sounded so much better than the MACH80. The MACH80 has higher clarity on the mid and upper ends. But nothing spectacular on the low and sub-lows (those that you can feel) so listening to jazz and classic wasn’t as fun as the W60. Then recently, I got my hands on my first vintage W80, the grand daddy of MACH80. The sound signature is that of the best from W60 and MACH80. It has crisp mids and highs, yet, it has lows and sub lows, yes, sustained sub rumbles are there. Lastly and most important of all. it has all day comfort using the large silicon tips. MACH80 however seems to irritate the area of my ear where the casing comes contact with. W80 doesn’t do this. W80 is my favorite IEM now, sorry MACH80.

    Great separation
I have been using the AM PRO 30s and decided to try the MACH 80. The difference in sound stage separation is significant. The MACH 80s have a much wider dynamic range and provide better lower frequency separation vs the AM PRO 30s.

Poor Cable, lasted only 2 years
Y9ou would figure $1,500 IEM’s would last, especially if they’re not abused. The right side monitor has about 1/2 the volume of the left side and just happened. I replaced the cable and still didn’t correct the issue. Upon checking Westone’s website looking to have them repaired, the Mach80’s doesn’t appear to have the option to be repaired. While they do sound good, basically paying =$750.00 a year for them is not the play.
